SKY HIGH SOPHISTICATION: DISCOVER THE TRANQUILITY AND SERENE AMBIANCE OF SABINE ROOFTOP

Nestled above the bustling city streets, Sabine Rooftop Bar offers guests a serene escape in the heart of London. With a glass-domed roof and expansive outdoor terrace, Sabine provides a picturesque setting bathed in natural light. The refreshing and rejuvenating ambience transports diners away from the urban chaos below. The lush greenery and floral accents adorning the interiors evoke the essence of springtime. Sat amidst the marble table tops and dark green chairs I felt enveloped in a cocoon of warmth and elegance. Sabine Rooftop truly lives up to its reputation as an urban oasis.

There to try the new Spring/Summer menu we were treated to a delightful array of dishes. Ready to have our tastebuds tantalised we began with a selection of starters. We selected the British & Continental Charcuterie which had a selection of meats. As well as pickles, sundried tomatoes, mustard, cultured butter, and focaccia chunks. Additionally, we chose Mac N Cheese Bon Bons and some more Toasted Focaccia. The Bon Bons came with a truffle mayo and the focaccia was paired with beetroot & thyme oil, and aged balsamic.

A charcuterie board is a timeless classic and I was very impressed with the meat selection. From velvety prosciutto, to robust coppa, and rich, savoury crusted beef, each bite was a symphony of flavours. The Bon Bons were a playful twist on a comfort food favourite.  Bursting with flavour, and five to a portion, there are filling so I would recommend getting these to share. Unfortunately, my friend doesn’t eat cheese, so I had to pass on two to leave space for my main.

DESPITE THE INCLEMENT WEATHER THE PANORAMIC VIEWS OF THE LONDON SKYLINE FROM INSIDE WERE STILL BREATH-TAKING

For our mains we chose Lebanese Chicken, Lamb Neck Fillet, Crisp Potatoes, and Asian Style Slaw. The chicken came with roast biber peppers, flat bread, and tamarind yogurt. The lamb came with pea puree, broad beans, anchovies, goat’s curd, mint, and truffle dressing. The potatoes had a spicy smoked paprika aioli on the side, whilst the Asian style slaw had crispy noodles, sesame, and miso dressing.

As the mains arrived, I found myself entranced by the lamb neck fillet. It’s tender texture and bold flavours harmonised well with the mint and truffle dressing. I clearly didn’t take in the full flavour listings of the Lebanese chicken as I found it unexpectedly spicy. I know, I know, it literally says roast biber peppers, but Char chose that dish. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy it though; the crisp skin and moist meat were a delightful contrast.

Despite our best efforts we simply could not find any space for dessert. Though the Xin & Voltaire Cocktail Sorbet sounded like a perfect ending to a delicious meal. Regrettably the inclement weather prevented us from enjoying the rooftop fully. But the panoramic views of the London skyline from inside were still breath-taking. The floor to ceiling windows allowed us to imagine what it would be like on a warm spring or summer day.

FROM THE DELECTABLE DISHES, TO THE INVITING AMBIENCE, AND EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE

As for drinks, our choices from Sabine’s extensive menu did not disappoint. We both opted to go down the classic route with a Pornstar Martini and a Paloma. I find a Pornstar Martini to be both indulgent and refreshing as a choice. The mix of vanilla vodka, passion fruit liquor, and prosecco combines so that every sip delivers a burst of tropical paradise. The Paloma was a refreshing and zesty concoction that was very satisfying.

The staff at Sabine Rooftop elevated our experience with their attentive and personable service. Matilda went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and taken care of throughout our visit. Despite the unexpected rain our time at Sabine Rooftop was a truly enjoyable experience. From the delectable dishes to the inviting ambience and exceptional service, it’s a destination I would highlight recommend. If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience or simply want to unwind with a drink, Sabine Rooftop is the place for you.
