WHAT WE ORDERED

The brunch menu allows you to choose from a wide range of options, including brunch dishes, burgers, or wraps. I chose the Honey Bunny Yardbird, a hand-rolled soft bara roti stack with fried chicken, hot sauce, maple syrup and a crispy fried egg. Elaine went for the Island Brunch Bowl, scrambled ackee, sauteed callaloo, curried chickpeas, sweet fried plantain, tomatoes, and fire-grilled roti. And Ange went for the Open Sausage Roti, fire-grilled roti served open, with smashed avo, two fried eggs, hot sauce, and sausage.

The Honey Bunny Yardbird at Turtle Bay is a masterpiece of flavours and textures. I was immediately struck by the contrast between the soft and fluffy bara roti against the crisp of the succulent chicken. Pay attention with the fiery hot sauce unless you want your mouth on fire like this distracted idiot. The fried egg yolk oozed over the entire dish and tied all the elements together. This dish was as pleasing to the eye as it was to the taste buds.

DRINKS DRINKS DRINKS

Turtle Bay Bottomless Brunch offers an impressive 24 options of cocktails, alongside the fizz, red stripe, and mocktails. It was impressive to see such a variety of drinks, catering to different tastes. Some of our favourites included the Passion Rum Punch, Bahama Mama, and Berry Reggae. And of course, as the Prosecco Queen, I would always recommend the classic Prosecco offering.

The Passion Rum Punch is dark rum & passionfruit, fresh lime & pineapple. The Bahama Mama had Koko Kanu & banana, pineapple & sorrel. And the Berry Reggae was dark rum & fresh lime, berry, strawberry & grapefruit. We were given the Bahama Mama as our welcome drink which is a cute little bonus at Turtle Bay. And we liked it so much that we enjoyed multiple rounds after the first.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

The Caribbean-themed ambience of Turtle Bay was vibrant and welcoming. Giving the vibe of a tropical getaway but in the heart of the city. The Brixton venue, where we went, had a lively atmosphere, which was perfect for a brunch gathering with friends. And with a starting price of £33.30, the bottomless brunch at Turtle Bay is reasonably priced. Especially considering the unlimited drinks, food options, and the ability to upgrade for a small charge for even more choices.

The staff at Turtle Bay were friendly and attentive, and they kept our drinks topped up throughout the brunch. And we were happily surprised to find out that Happy Hour was on after our brunch sitting. If you’re looking for a fun and flavourful day out, Turtle Bay bottomless brunch is available every day. So, eat, drink, and be brunchy! Because it’s an experience that will leave you satisfied, refreshed, and looking forward to your next visit.
