Set within a refurbished prison van, participants face a challenging yet exhilarating test to break free from incarceration within a limited timeframe. BUNKER 51

From the moment you arrive at Bunker 51, the escape room location near North Greenwich, the transformation begins. You are provided with the iconic orange prison jumpsuits, a symbolic initiation into your new identity as prisoners. You then need to concoct a fictional backstory and assume your criminal identity. Cue all of us in a mad panic coming up with a fake name and reason for our arrest. This added a playful and funny touch to the experience.

As you are each locked and handcuffed into individual cells on the prison van, a sense of entrapment begins. The anticipation mounts as the waiting period begins, creating an atmosphere that is both thrilling and immersive. You are told that the driver transferring you to prison is delayed and will arrive in an hour. This acts as the trigger, setting the clock for the impending challenge, heightening the anticipation and excitement.

TRAPPED IN A PRISON VAN: DID WE ESCAPE?

With the doors locked shut, the quest for freedom begins. Not only is the pressure on to escape the van, but you also have to escape your individual cells. All whilst searching for the key to unlock everyone’s handcuffs or it’s going to be a very difficult hour. So, we set about exploring our surroundings, uncovering clues, and cracking codes. Our team, Ice Skating Unicorns, was absolutely buzzed when we escaped in just 40 minutes.
