From the moment you step inside Bayou Spa, the atmosphere wraps around you like a warm hug. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, immediately setting a tone of calm and care.I arrived early but was offered water, a seat, and had a lovely chat with the person on reception, which instantly made me feel at ease.
The space is stunning! Earthy greens and soft browns are accented with pops of pink, adding just the right touch of personality. Two corners feature a small waterfall, both connected by a stream-like water feature running through the floor. It gives the whole venue a peaceful, organic feel. Even the toilet has a greenery wall and sparkly floor (magpie mode activated). No detail is overlooked, and it all contributes to the spa’s relaxing ambience.
I was there for the Deep Cleansing & Extraction Facial. And while extractions are never the most relaxing part of a treatment, the rest more than made up for it. It was a balance of effective skincare and luxurious touches. The best part was a soothing mask which was accompanied by an arm massage. Elite level of calm achieved!
They also used red light therapy over my eyes. Cue a mini panic attack like, what is happening?! Clearly a first for me! And I know it’s in the name, but my god it was bright. Still, it was interesting to experience something new. The facial ended with SPF application and helpful aftercare advice: no makeup for 24 hours, keep hydrated, and expect a little sensitivity.
Bayou Spa offers a wide range of treatments beyond facials: massages, hair removal, beauty therapies, and more. This place isn’t just about surface-level pampering; it’s designed to reset your whole self. I’ll definitely be going back to try more.
Whether you’re in need of some serious skincare or just a peaceful escape, Bayou Spa is a gem worth discovering.
