Looking for a rooftop bar that combines bold decor, stunning views, and festive cheer?  The Glasshouse Bar at NYX Hotel Holborn has transformed into a Grinch inspired green wonderland for Christmas, and it’s a must visit!

You might be thinking, “Why would I go to a rooftop bar in the height of the winter chill?”. Fear not! The Glasshouse Bar is fully enclosed, ensuring a warm and cosy experience, no matter the weather. The floor to ceiling windows mean you’re not missing out on the breathtaking views of the London skyline. And during the summer those same windows open to letting in the refreshing breeze, making this an all season gem.

The venue itself is a feast for the eyes, giving strong Insta photo energy. All year round they have bold, bright decorations including neon signs and messages. I’m a sucker for getting a photo with these! Add the playful Grinch themed decorations, and you’ve got a rooftop bursting with festive magic and charm.

COCKTAILS WE TRIED

NYX Lady Gaga

Absolute Blue, Chambord, Hibiscus Syrup, Lime Juice, Strawberry Puree, and Mionetta Prosecco

Spicy Watermelon Quila Tini

Cazcabel Tequila Blanco, Midori, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, Watermelon, Angostura

Pornstar Martini

Absolut Vanilla, Blend Passion Fruit Liqueur, Passion Fruit Puree, Mionetta Prosecco

The cocktails were just as bold as the decor. The cocktail equivalent of a headliner, the NYX Lady Gaga was a sweet and sparkling treat, full of fruity flavours. Bringing the heat was the Spicy Watermelon Quila Tini, packing a refreshing punch with a side of spice. And you can’t go wrong with a classic Pornstar Martini.

We finished with a glass of Prosecco each, because when the Prosecco Queen is in town, bubbly is non-negotiable.

The Glasshouse is perfect for drinks with friends, after work wind downs, and date nights. And an a bonus for fellow photo-obsessed visitors, there’s only a photobooth in the hotel lobby. As someone who has photobooth radar on a night out, I was buzzing to grab my friend and get some snaps.

Whether you’re drawn in by the cocktails, the decor, the views, or the photo ops, The Glasshouse Bar is a fantastic destination. Right now, it’s the perfect spot to elevate your festive celebrations, but I also can’t wait to return in the summer to enjoy the skyline. Cheers!
