The Little Scarlet Door Bottomless Brunch Review

BIRTHDAYS, BUBBLES, AND THE BEST TOASTIES IN SOHO

By Tanya Howard | Founder, The Live Review London · @glamglitzlondon

When your nickname is The Prosecco Queen, there’s only one way to celebrate a birthday… bottomless brunch, of course. So, where better than at The Little Scarlet Door in Soho, which has only just launched its own version. Fittingly, my bestie and I (same birthday, double the excuse) were their first ever booking. And honestly? They made us feel like absolute queens.

The team went above and beyond: they set up a decorated area with bunting and a sweet little A-frame sign reading “Our first bottomless booking!! Happy Birthday Angels!” and on the flip side, “Welcome to our Home!” complete with a doodle of a house. It was beyond cute and immediately set the tone.

WHERE THE DRINKS KEEP FLOWING AND THE FOOD STEALS THE SHOW

We stuck with Prosecco throughout (no surprises there), but the cocktail list had real variety. Spritz for something light, Palomas and Pina Coladas giving holiday vibes, and mocktails to keep it inclusive. It’s a great mix that works well if you’ve got a group with different preferences. The vibe was relaxed but celebratory, with that house party energy that the Little Door venues do so well.

The food came in waves, starting with chips and guac, served separately (ideal since I don’t touch guac). Then came the toasties, and wow, they honestly stole the show. Bestie went for Three Cheese (Goats Cheese, London Blue, Poacher Mature Cheddar and Caramelised Onion Chutney). Whilst I chose Truffle Cheese Steak (Bavette Steak, Somerset Brie, Tomato & Caramelised Onion Chutney, Rocket). I ditched the rocket, but even so, this was one of the best toasties I’ve ever had. Next level delicious, I’d go back for this alone!

As if this wasn’t enough, we were served both the Charcuterie Board (Parma ham, fennel salami, spicy sausage, balsamic, flatbread) and the Mezze Board (grilled artichokes, cheese-stuffed peppers, olives, vine leaves, pickles, pesto, flatbread). It really was a feast, though it did lean a little carb heavy. But for £47? Insanely good value.

MORE THAN JUST SERVICE: A VIBE, A CELEBRATION, A WHOLE EXPERIENCE

The staff, Maria, Tyreece, and Sofia, were all brilliant. Warm, welcoming, friendly, and genuinely excited for us to have a good time. I honestly can’t fault them, and I’m very grateful for them levelling up our birthday experience. They had great energy and kept us topped up when needed. It really felt like celebrating at a friend’s place rather than just another brunch booking.

The Little Scarlet Door nailed the balance of indulgence and affordability. Delicious food, strong drink options, and that personal touch, chef’s kiss. Add in the fact they went all out to make their first booking, and our birthdays feel special. For a birthday, a catch-up with friends, or just because you love toasties and fizz, it’s a winner.

Would I go back? Absolutely! In fact, I’m already planning on working my way through the other “Little Door” venues. Keep your eyes peeled for The Little Violet Door review, coming soon.
