KOD Soho Bottomless Brunch | Good Food, Great Drinks, Groovy Vibes

MESSY TACOS, JUICY STEAKS, FREE FLOWING DRINKS AND SOHO VIBES

By Tanya Howard | Founder, The Live Review London · @glamglitzlondon

As the bottomless brunch queen, if there is free flowing Prosecco involved, I will find it. I have a running list of bottomless brunches to try, and KOD Soho has been sitting on it for a while. The only reason it kept slipping down the list was because my most regular brunch bestie is not a steak fan. This time though, plans aligned and KOD Soho finally got its moment. Spoiler alert, I’m very glad it did.

From the moment we arrived, the vibe hit straight away. The space feels polished but relaxed, with a live DJ bringing proper weekend energy without tipping into chaos. It’s the kind of place where brunch could very easily roll into the rest of the day. It’s worth noting that KOD Bottomless Brunch runs on a set menu rather than a full pick and choose situation. Personally, I’m not mad about that at all, especially when the menu is this solid. But it’s good to know going in if you’re someone who likes lots of options or is fussy.

FROM MESSY TACOS TO A STEAK THAT HITS THE SPOT

You start with the Tri Tip Tacos. Homemade crispy tacos filled with braised tri tip beef, mango chutney, avocado cream and fresh coriander. We asked for ours without avocado cream and they were more than happy to accommodate. I’m not usually a mango chutney girl, but I’ve come around to it over the last year, and I really enjoyed it here. Fair warning though, these tacos are extremely messy to eat. Hands will be involved. Fully worth it, because the flavour absolutely delivers.

For the main, you’re get Australian Sirloin, Steak Chips a la KOD, Caesar Salad, and Madagascar Pepper Sauce. We both went for medium well, sorry not sorry to the rare lovers, and it was cooked beautifully. Juicy, tender, and exactly what you want from a steak brunch. I surprised myself by loving the peppercorn sauce, which I fully used as a dipping sauce for my chips. No regrets. You can also add parmesan to the chips, which was an instant yes from me.

Now, most of you know I’m not a greenery girlie, so my friend happily took both salads. He rated them highly, although we were slightly surprised by how flat the croutons were. Not a complaint, just an observation. We skipped dessert as we were already full and the options didn’t really call to us. Honestly though, we didn’t feel like we missed out.

THE DRINKS, THE DJ, AND PROPER SOHO WEEKEND ENERGY

Drink wise, you’ve got free-flowing Prosecco, beer, wine, vodka lemonade, and soft drinks. I stuck to Prosecco throughout, very on brand for me. My friend went for the KOD lemonade, made with Absolut Vodka and homemade lemonade. The staff were friendly, efficient, and really on it with topping up drinks and keeping us aware of timings without making us feel rushed.

KOD Soho Bottomless Brunch is a solid choice if you want good food, strong drinks, and a lively Soho atmosphere. It’s fun, filling, and well organised. Perfect for steak lovers, Prosecco drinkers, and anyone who likes their brunch with a soundtrack. I’d happily go back, and next time I might have to try their pre-theatre menu too.
