Festive foodie treats to get you excited for Christmas
It is never too early to start celebrating Christmas and so here’s a round up of some great festive eats and treats so you can begin indulging for Christmas!
The Meet:
This winter The Meet have teamed up with Baileys Almande to create the ultimate festive vegan treats. Executive Head Chef Dominic Taylor has used everybody’s favourite Christmas tipple and creative cooking techniques to revamp popular festive dishes into indulgent vegan alternatives.
Using Baileys Almande he has created a deliciously decadent Bakewell tart hot chocolate as well as a Baileys Almande and ginger panna cotta both of which will be served for a limited time only. The Meet offers indulgent plant-based comfort food and playful vegan cocktails, all in the urban, industrial backdrop of railway arches in Clapham North.
The Athenian:
Throughout the festive season, The Athenian will once again be part of The Southbank Winter market. Located in the heart of London’s cultural scene the Winter Market is the perfect place to eat, drink and be merry. The market includes a festive alpine lodge, winter igloos as well as handmade festive goodies and delicious street food.
The Athenian will be serving their signature Gyros as well as specialty Wild boar sausage, halloumi and vegan gyros all washed down with a selection of Greek wines and beers. The Athenian will once again be joining a line-up of independent street food stalls and pop-up retailers at the Christmas market where there will be an array of seasonal goodies, sparkling lights, mulled wine and an abundance of festive cheer
HIPCHIPS:
Throughout December, Soho’s favourite crisp and dip bar HIPCHIPS will offering a special edition Crispmas Dinner Box. Creating new flavour combinations and a novel approach to sharing, HIPCHIPS has transformed the way Londoners consume the classic roast dinner. Freshly cooked and served straight to diners on a conveyor belt, HIPCHIPS pairs hand-made potato crisps with a diverse range of delicious savoury and sweet fresh dips.
This Christmas HIPCHIPS’ freshly made signature heritage potato crisps are paired with an array of festive dips such Smoked Salmon & Pickled Cucumbers, Turkey, Stuffing & Cranberry Sauce and for that ultimate festive finish – a sweet Christmas Pudding & Brandy Butter.
