If you’re planning to leave cookies and milk out for Santa this year, you might want to upgrade your offering, because nothing will get you on the Nice List faster than Tortilla’s brand-new Christmas menu. I was invited to dive into their festive Winter Edit, featuring Chorizo Nachos, BBQ Adobo Tacos and Burritos, plus an indulgent Dessert Quesadilla, and trust me, they exceeded expectations in the most delicious way.
HEART-WARMING FOOD THAT YOU CAN’T REFUSE
To kick things off, the chorizo nachos were an instant hit, piled high with melted cheese, pickled onions, and a generous scoop of guacamole. They were so moreish they deserved a spotlight of their own. My friend and I found ourselves going back for seconds… and thirds. Honestly, we could’ve happily devoured the entire tray if we weren’t determined to save room for the rest of the menu.
The dessert quesadilla was certainly a talking point. While cream cheese desserts aren’t usually my thing, I could still appreciate the fun, inventive mix of banana and dulce de leche sweetness with savoury tortilla goodness at play here. It’s the kind of treat that will absolutely hit the spot for anyone who loves that flavour combo. Even if it wasn’t quite my usual pick, I could still see the charm in every bite.
CHRISTMAS COCKTAILS TO GET YOU IN THE SPIRIT
Tortilla is a well-respected Mexican spot that’s always reliable for good food, so I’ll admit I approached this Winter Edit with a hint of curiosity. After all, if it’s not broken, why fix it? But any hesitation quickly vanished. I enjoyed every dish and found myself completely wrapped up in the Christmas spirit. So if you’re braving the winter cold and craving something warm, comforting and full of flavour, this Winter Edit is a festive winner. I was enjoying the food so much that I found myself planning my next visit before I’d even taken my last bite. If that isn’t a clear sign you should try it for yourself, I don’t know what will.
