Sushi Daily brand launches its first permanent site in London

SUSHI DAILY HAS OPENED ITS FIRST PERMANENT SITE ON NEW OXFORD STREET

Their first expansion into a bricks and mortar high street site is a continuation of their philosophy to bring high quality ingredients and expert Sushi preparation to the capital

Founded by Kelly Choi of KellyDeli, Sushi Daily has brought the finest quality Sushi to over 750 convenient locations across Europe including multiple branches of Waitrose and Carrefour. Now, collaborating with Sushi expert Silla Bjerrum, formerly of Feng Sushi, the site will be both a location for Londoners to enjoy fresh Sushi, handmade on site by Sushi artisans, bespoke hot dishes and breakfast items, whilst also being a hub for developing new dishes for the wider kiosks across both the UK and Europe.

Seasonality, sustainability, quality and flavour is central to the concept with fish delivered whole to the site, ready to be cut and prepared daily for absolutely freshness. Sushi Daily also adopts a nose to tail ethos allowing waste to be minimised. The Salmon miso uses their homemade broth made from fish bones and the Salmon Skin Roll uses their own crispy salmon skin.

The menu is well-balanced, nutritious and low in saturated fats. Classic Sushi options, such as Salmon pure California roll and Devon crab California roll, sit alongside a large selection of vegetable based Sushi and pots including Shiitake California roll, Seaweed salad and Seasonal slaw. Multiple options of Sushi base are also available, including brown rice and quinoa as well as the classic white rice.

Londoners can expect a weekly changing selection of warming and authentic Japanese dishes, with a choice of a white or brown rice base and various garnishes. Classic hot food choices will include Yakisoba, Katsu Curry, Udon Soup and Gyozas, whilst there will also be a daily pop up offering new, seasonal dishes. Further menu items include Homemade Cakes, Japanese snacks and sweets.

A range of healthy breakfast items will be served from 7.30am daily including Classic porridge, Quinoa brown rice porridge, Buckwheat pancakes, Okayu smoked salmon and Yogurt miso rhubarb compote granola. To drink, there is a choice of Power Smoothies as well as Japanese teas from Canton Tea and artisan coffee from Extract. The wider drinks menu will also feature kombucha, soft drinks and a tailored wine and beer list to complement the Sushi.

For the evening, Sushi Daily will offer a ‘Grab and Go’ selection with a bespoke Sushi menu made freshly at the counter. Situated on one of London’s most thriving business hubs, Sushi Daily has a striking design incorporating traditional Japanese indigo blue and white hues, to create a bright, inviting space with communal seating.

Eight years ago, when Sushi Daily originally launched, Kelly promised their Sushi Master YamamotoSan that they would provide the best sushi in Europe. This mantra continues at the new site, where she and Silla will deliver an innovative, seasonally changing menu in a unique casual dining environment. From early 2019, customers will have the option to order dishes on the Sushi Daily website in a ‘Click and Collect’ system, offering customers the option of an even faster and easy service.
