Celebrate Number 90’s 5th Birthday at their Four Day Party

NUMBER 90 CELEBRATES ITS 5TH BIRTHDAY WITH A FOUR DAY PARTY

The Birthday Weekender will include DJ sets, delicious food, brand new and unusual cocktails and a very special Saturday surprise

Number 90 is excited to announce it will be throwing its biggest birthday party to date, taking place over four days from 4th – 7th April, to celebrate turning the grand old age of five. The birthday weekender will include DJ sets from the likes of Tom Trago and Phonica Records, delicious food offerings, brand new and unusual cocktails, a very special Saturday surprise; and what’s more – everyone is invited to join in with the free festivities.

Located in Hackney Wick, the stunning canal-side venue will swing open its doors on Thursday encouraging party-goers to begin their weekend early. With two recently finished 70ft murals on the front of The Number Group’s brand new venues Studio 9294, by incredible artists Dale Grimshaw and Zabou, the venue spaces themselves have now become even more of a local landmark.

DJ sets from Stranger Than Paradise Records will warm up the Number 90 stage on Thursday night. Since the record store’s inception in 2018 in Mare Street Market, Stranger Than Paradise Records has become an important part of the local creative community. With an exceptional reputation for stocking a unique genre-spanning selection of records, their DJ sets at Number 90 are guaranteed to set the standard for the revelry that is to come.

As with all Number 90’s birthdays, the main focus of the weekend will be the assemblage of music celebrated by both the artists and audience alike. On Friday night, guests will experience sonic sorcery from Dutch DJ and producer Tom Trago, a familiar face who has graced the stages of Dekmantel and has a number of Boiler Room sets under his belt. Joining Trago on Friday will be Fabric’s brand new resident DJ Anna Wall and the all-female London-based collective SISU who will step up to deliver a flawless party set well into the early hours. Both Friday & Saturday will have a late night licence with the musical programme running 18.00 – 06.00.

On Saturday night, the legendary record store Phonica Records will host this evening’s musical madness inviting special guests to play alongside. Phonica Records has been at the heart of the Saturday evening for the last three years and for those planning to party all night, there is also a special surprise for in-store at Number 90’s cool neighbour space, Studio 9294. Guests can expect more music from the likes of Vicious Creatures, Late Night Tales and London Disco Society.

With the celebrations winding down on Sunday, Number 90 will be offering its renowned Sunday roast to satisfy party-goers’ appetites, with a funky feel-good soundtrack provided by Tropical Disco Records and more artists TBA. If the weather permits, the party will spill out onto the scenic canal- side. Complete with its very own bar accommodating up to 100 guests, this stand-alone area is the perfect spot for the remaining weekend wanderers to sit back and relax whilst watching the sun go down.

This extravagant weekend of partying is not only to celebrate Number 90’s 5th birthday but also to thank their brand affiliates, friends and neighbours. Maintaining Hackney Wick’s unique and close- knit community is part of Number 90’s ethos. This Birthday Weekender is Number 90’s way of celebrating the creative, hardworking and mutually supportive hub they have created in this unique canal-side venue.
