Nutshell Brings Their Modern Take On Regional Iranian Dishes Nationwide With Delivery Launch

COFOUNDERS AND HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM, MARWA ALKHALAF AND MOHAMMED PAKNEJAD ANNOUNCE THREE DIFFERENT AT HOME MENUS TO BRING THE WARMTH OF PERSIAN HOSPITALITY TO HOMES

Critically acclaimed Nutshell, located in Covent Garden, have been busy in the kitchen adapting their restaurant favourites just in time for news of the second lockdown available to order now.  Taking inspiration from what would have been their seasonal winter offering, their Nutshell at Home menu will celebrate the wealth of flavours and diversity of regional dishes of Iran, designed to be enjoyed at home.

Alongside head chef Chris Lyon, Marwa has carefully put together a feast for all to enjoy with a choice of main dish, alongside sharing starters and sides, to be enjoyed by two. The menu offers a selection of mezze to start including Nutshell’s signature Bazaar Bread with Zeytoun Parvardeh, an olive tapenade with pomegranate and walnut, Beetroot Borani with whipped feta, turmeric, barberry and endives and Mushroom Kotlet with barberry and burnt onion yogurt.

For mains, choose between Mahi ba Mast: a yogurt baked halibut, quince, salsify, samphire and pistachio crumble; Mazandarani Lamb: a Robata grilled lamb rump, apricot relish and saffron tomato salsa; or for vegetarians, Kofte Tabrizi, a butternut squash and jackfruit kofte with dried fruit, hazelnut and apricot puree. Each option also comes with a Tahchin, a crispy rice cake infused with saffron. For dessert, finish with an Iranian classic; Ranginak, a toasted flour tart with dates, pistachio and spiced clotted cream for an indulgent sweet with warming winter notes.

Drinks are covered too, with a selection of wines available to add to your order as well as their in-house mixed cocktails such as a Yazd SourPink pepper pisco, pomegranate, rose & lemonMexican in Tehran, Limoo infused tequila, apricot & lime sumac salt and Negroni IraniSour cherry wine, spiced campari & saffron gin. For those who run dry but still want their drinks spicy, a mocktail of Rose d’Ispahan, Lychee, rose sharbat, raspberry & lemon.

Marwa, Chef Patron says “Iranian home cooking can’t be beaten, and Iranian hospitality is plentiful, comforting, and most of all, heartening. It is made with love and care – what everyone will be in need of over the next coming month. We’ve taken what’s at the base of those home cooked dishes, usually enjoyed all together, all over Iran and transformed them into a veritable feast only in need of a few moments in the oven, ready to devoured and to bring you some warmth, until we can feast together again.”
