God’s Garden, A Secret Pop-Up Winter Garden Opens In Marylebone
A NEW HIDDEN GARDEN HAS OPENED IN THE HEART OF MARYLEBONE THIS NOVEMBER
On Friday 4th November London welcomed the arrival of God’s Garden, an experiential winter garden set within the breath-taking grounds of One Marylebone Church. Promising guests a hidden oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, this new cosy heated hideout will combine high quality food and drink with live and experiential entertainment, making it the ultimate spot to unwind after work and indulge on the weekend.
Centrally located in the heart of Marylebone, guests enter God’s Garden through Floward’s pleasantly- scented flower shop and verdant greenhouse before encountering the main courtyard. With a capacity of 200 and sheltered under two large stretch tents, the warm and inviting space has been decorated with dramatic foliage, opulent Persian rugs, warm lighting and gas heated towers, making it a unique escape in the heart of central London, miles away from the dreary every-day.
God’s Garden will host an array of creative events and activities ideal for large groups and those looking for something different in the capital throughout the winter season and beyond. Highlights include the Saturday Après Ski Brunch Parties sponsored by Absolut Elyx & Moët, Sunday Feast & Live Music in the Gardens as well as some exciting festive experiences. For football fans, the garden will also be showing the big World Cup matches on large TV screens throughout the tournament.
Open from Wednesday to Friday from 5pm, God’s Garden is the perfect location for grabbing a drink and bite to eat after work, while lunchtime openings throughout the weekend make it ideal for relaxing meals with friends and family, post-shopping Champagne or wild brunch parties. Cocktail connoisseurs Soul Shakers will provide delicious tipples at the main bar, and the Moët Hennessy bar will serve signature cocktails and winter staples including the ‘Hot Angel’, Whispering Angel’s take on mulled wine. A Cloudy Bay wine trolley and further activations on the main bar from brands including Monkey 47 gin will add to the offering. The food at God’s Garden is set to be an impressive affair, partnering with a phenomenal – and still secret – foodie powerhouse to further elevate the experience.
Produced by the founders of Perplex Group, Ludwig Danet and Jose Guimaraes, in collaboration with Andrew Dax, founder of Chameleon Inc., the team bring years of experience in creative concepts to God’s Garden, having worked on the award-winning pop-up bars Pop Brixton and Vinegar Yard, live music venue Amazing Grace and electronic music brand Perplex London. With immersive tropical greenery and atmospheric décor, God’s Garden is set to be this season’s most instagrammable installation – a hidden winter garden like no other.
