Ploom Presents… Comedy, with Jamali Maddix, Emmanuel Sonubi, Gabby Killick and Joe Bor on Thursday 16th December.
Located at the Ploom Lounge on Argyll Street, in the heart of vibrant Soho, the evening will showcase cutting-edge comedic talent to an intimate audience.
Ploom has announced a dynamic series of events, bringing together up-and-coming live entertainment, from music to comedy, all under one roof. Like Ploom, which is the next generation of tobacco product, these events have been designed to showcase the next generation of comedic and musical talent and thank our retailers for their support over this past year. Ploom Presents… Comedy will take place on Thursday 16th December, where the hilarious Jamali Maddix will take to the stage, alongside Emmanuel Sonubi, Gabby Killick and Joe Bor.
The Ploom Presents series, designed for a selection of our Ploom retailers, runs from 25th November to 16th December and focuses on emerging talent. The series includes ground-breaking musicians, as well as this iconic evening of comedy.
Showcasing the best and brightest talent from the UK comedy circuit, the evening is guaranteed to be a side- splitting evening of wit and hilarity. Headliner Jamali Maddix is best known for his super-successful Viceland documentary Hate Thy Neighbour and his recent appointment to Never Mind The Buzzcocks. Relatively under the radar until recent years, Jamali has risen relentlessly through the ranks and is now a household name.
Supporting Jamali Maddix is an eclectic mix of up-and-coming comedians: Emmanuel Sonubi, Gabby Killick and Joe Bor. Emmanuel Sonubi, a comedic powerhouse, has already acquired a powerful reputation as ‘one to watch.’ Gabby Killick’s comedy show, ‘Girlfriend From Hell,’ has gained a cult following and won glowing reviews at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Finally, world-famous explorer Jasper Cromwell Jones will take to the stage – the hilarious creation by award-winning comedian Joe Bor.
