Ever wondered what Pride and Prejudice would be like with a bit more booze, chaos, and a soundtrack worthy of a wild night out? Then Plied and Prejudice at The Vaults is your perfect match. Equal parts immersive theatre and all-out party, this high-energy parody turns Jane Austen’s classic into a Regency-era fever dream. Complete with dance lessons, impromptu proposals, audience participation, and a whole lot of costume changes.

With just five actors juggling twenty roles, sometimes all at once, expect pure, unfiltered mayhem. There’s a bit of running, a lot of quick changes, and the kind of organised chaos that keeps the audience on their toes. Even if you’ve never read Pride and Prejudice (guilty!), you’ll still be swept up in the madness. Thanks in large part to the sheer commitment of the cast and the show’s anything-goes atmosphere.

The cast were powerhouses, effortlessly switching between roles with impeccable comedic timing and boundless energy. They manage to keep up with the show’s relentless pace, while nailing every chaotic costume change and delivering laugh out loud performances. Making this a truly impressive and unforgettable spectacle. Visually, the show leans into bold, pop art inspired costumes that add to the heightened larger than life feel.  And let’s not forget the wet shirt moment, because it wouldn’t be Pride and Prejudice without one.

IT IS A TRUTH UNIVERSALLY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT A SINGLE WOMAN IN REGENCY ENGLAND MUST BE IN WANT OF A VERY STIFF DRINK

The Vault’s setup works perfectly for this kind of show. The catwalk style stage means there’s not a bad seat in the house. And the immersive ballroom setting keeps you in the thick of the action. Drinks are not only welcome but actively encouraged! The excellent staff deliver them to your seat mid-show without interrupting the performance. And if you’re up for continuing the fun, the post-show afterparty is a must. Give me an old-school playlist and I’m staying up all night.

Plied and Prejudice is the kind of theatre that doesn’t take itself too seriously, making for a brilliantly entertaining night out.
