Get your dabbers at the ready because Mecca Bingo has launched Players Bingo, a brand new, night time bingo experience. Aimed at bringing in a younger audience this is a chance for you to do something different on a night out and win some amazing prizes.

I have to admit I was one of those people who always associated bingo with the older generation and never considered it as a night out option. Players Bingo was definitely a game changer and opened my eyes up to the opportunity of a new venue for a great night out with friends, and the added bonus of possibly taking home a little money or prize at the end of it.

Initially launched at Mecca’s Camden Town venue, Players takes place every Thursday and Saturday night and costs just £12. You can book your tickets directly from the Players website, and the event starts at 7:30 but it’s advised to arrive at 6:30 giving you a full hour to grab some drinks, order your food and grab a seat at one of the tables, which are set up as four and eight seaters.

The event lasts for 5 hours, with the games taking up 3 hours, leaving 2 hours for eating, drinking and socialising.There are three games played during the night, with three opportunities to win during each; One Line, Two Lines, and Full House. Not only can you win cold hard cash but you could also take a crazy prize home, and I have to admit I was gutted to have not won the inflatable kayak, complete with oars and life jackets. Imagine getting on the tube home with that (please note, there is the option to have it delivered to your house at a later date).

You can expect delicious food from a monthly rotation of some of London’s best pop up street food restaurants, with Cheeky Burger being the first to give their dishes a bingo themed makeover. The bar will be stocked with curated craft beers, ales and cocktails, and I would definitely recommend trying the Bingostar Martini. Alongside the food and drinks there is a house band, soundtracking the bingo lingo and taking requests for songs during the breaks between games. 

If you are looking for a new destination for a great night out, which covers all the bases for you including food, drink, music, live entertainment and a whole lot of fun then Players Bingo would be perfect for you. The great atmosphere was enough alone to make us want to return, it was such a good night out!
