Pack up your picnic, grab your extended family and head to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Sunday 23 June for the third annual Great Get Together. Experience world class dance and music performances, discover local talent, take part in sports and craft activities and relax as the sound of music fills the air when the free, fun family festival returns to the Park.

Whether you want to be entertained, get creative or get up and take part, there are more activities than ever before at this year’s Great Get Together. With eight different stages and zones, including the hugely popular Family Zone and Breakin’ Convention tent, there will be something to do for all ages. Watch local school children take to the stage with magical dance and music performances, be serenaded by the mesmerising BBC Singers, take part in a model making with Aardman, be wowed with a fire-eating display, experience the beats of Capital 1Xtra’s Sandra Omari and BBC 1Xtra’s Shayna Marie, take part in the tug of war, pick up new skills from local artists, dance with the London School of Samba, get your face painted, grab some amazing global delicacies from the food stalls, and so much more.

Hosted as part of a nationwide celebration of our different communities and organised in partnership with the Jo Cox Foundation and The Big Lunch campaign, the Great Get Together brings together local talent and world-class performers at the Park. The event is a great place to enjoy a family day out and support local talent whilst also learning more about the amazing institutions coming to East Bank – the BBC, Sadler’s Wells, the Smithsonian Institution, UAL’s London College of Fashion, University College London and the V&A – and what they are already doing in the local area.
