BURBERRY LAUNCHES CLASSIC AFTERNOON TEA TO CELEBRATE ITS FOUNDER AT ITS ALL-DAY CAFÉ, THOMAS’S

Burberry has launched a Classic Afternoon Tea to celebrate the house’s founder, Thomas Burberry, at its all-day café Thomas’s, located within the Burberry flagship store on 121 Regent Street.

The Classic Afternoon Tea comprises a selection of finger sandwiches, scones, crumpets and English cakes alongside a passionfruit and milk chocolate Burberry bar which features the house’s Monogram which celebrates the house’s founder and heritage through a new signature house code of interlocking TB initials.

First unveiled in August 2018, the Monogram was designed by Riccardo in collaboration with British art director and graphic designer Peter Saville. On his appointment at Burberry, Riccardo discovered a selection of 20th-century Thomas Burberry logo motifs in the house’s archive which inspired him to create a new house code.
