Award-winning Tango Fire returns to The Peacock from Tuesday 29 January – Saturday 16 February. Showcasing the history of authentic Argentine tango, from its origins in the streets and tango houses of Buenos Aires, to contemporary interpretations, Tango Fire stars superb tango dancers, including the internationally renowned Germán Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi, who premiere a new solo.

An experience through the various styles, moods and history of Argentine tango, Tango Fire has achieved extraordinary success, touring internationally to critical acclaim.Tango Fuego Quartet enhance the production by playing the music of the great tango masters live – including Piazzolla, Pugliese and Gardel. Skilled virtuosos on piano, bandoneon, contrabass and violin enrich the sensuality of Tango Fire.

Six couples, including former World Tango Champions, showcase unique flair through their interpretation of tango, enjoying the creative freedom to craft their own solos. Honed and refined by Cornejo’s expert choreographic skill, Tango Fire encompasses the art and exhilarating passion of Argentine tango, steered by the leading tango dance company.
