World-renowned Violinist Charlie Siem Will Be At Cadogan Hall For A One-Off Charity Concert

On Tuesday 5th February 2019, world-renowned violinist Charlie Siem will be taking to the stage at London’s prestigious Cadogan Hall for a one-off concert in aid of The International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research (INCTR), TUCCA and The Children at Risk Foundation (CARF-UK).

A great believer in supporting worthwhile causes with his work, Siem has performed and supported many admirable organisations; he is also an ambassador of The Prince’s Trust. This performance will be raising funds for three charities. The International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research (INCTR) is an international non-profit and non-governmental organization established to address a neglected global health problem: the ever increasing burden of cancer in developing countries. TUCCA is a Brazillian non-profit and non-government organization that offers high quality, multidisciplinary treatment to children and adolescents with cancer, and CARF-UK is a British charity that raises funds for innovative educational and social developmental programmes for children and young people in Brazil.

Charlie Siem’s February performance is part of the hugely successful TUCCA Music For Cure Project, an international programme of classical music events organised by TUCCA that is now for the first time coming to the UK and teaming up with INCTR and CARF-UK for a one-off special concert.

Charlie is delighted to be able to help towards such a worthwhile cause with this concert: “I first met Tucca founder, Dr. Epelman when I performed for the foundation in Sao Paolo last year and he took me to one of the clinics on the outskirts of the city. I was immediately moved by his selfless determination to help children afflicted with cancer. I played for some of the children who were being treated and was overwhelmed by their courage and positivity. It is a privilege to represent this noble cause in my hometown and help raise awareness and support.”

Charlie Siem is one of today’s foremost young violinists. At only 32, the classical musician has garnered worldwide recognition, performing internationally with some of the world’s finest orchestras and chamber ensembles, including the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg and Israel Philharmonic. This concert, taking place in Chelsea’s Cadogan Hall will boast a programme of works by Bach, Brahms and Debussy.

Passionate about bringing classical music to younger new audiences around the world, Siem has previously been the Artistic Director of The New Generation Festival, a classical music, opera and theatre festival in Florence. He is also a Visiting Professor at Leeds College of Music (UK) and Nanjing University of the Arts (China) and gives masterclasses around the world at top institutions such as the Royal College of Music (London), and the Accademia di Musica (Florence).

In addition to his musical career, Siem has also modelled for numerous brands including Dior and Giorgio Armani, as well as gracing the pages of L’Uomo Vogue and fronting campaign for British menswear brand Dunhill, after being discovered during a performance in Cuba by Mario Testino.
