Following huge, sell-out UK and Ireland tours for her one-woman shows Frazzled and Sane New World, Ruby Wax returns with How To Be Human

Performing at theatres across the UK and Ireland, from Basingstoke and Belfast to Brighton and Manchester, Ruby’s show comes to London’s Leicester Square Theatre with a 13-date run in June.

Based on her bestselling book, How to be Human: The Manual, the tour will answer every question you’ve ever had about evolution, thoughts, emotions, the body, addictions, relationships, sex, kids, the future and compassion.

We can’t stop the future from arriving, no matter what drugs we’re on. But even if nearly every part of us becomes robotic, mechanical fingers crossed, we’ll still have our minds. Hopefully we’ll use them for things like compassion, instead of just chasing what’s ‘better’ like a hamster on a wheel. If we can do that, we’re on the yellow brick road to happiness.

Ruby welcomes special guests in the second half of the show: a monk, Gelong Thubten, who explains how the mind works, and neuroscientist Ash Ranpura who explains where everything that makes us ‘us’ can be found in the brain.

Ruby Wax is a much-loved U.S.-born comedy actor and writer of incredibly successful books and TV shows including script editing “Absolutely Fabulous”. She has a Master’s degree in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy from Oxford University.
