IS IT EVER OK TO GET BACK WITH YOUR EX?
JEW…ish is the twisted millennial romcom that absolutely no one asked for, and runs at the Kings Head Theatre from 14th to 19th January
TICKETS: www.kingsheadtheatre.com
Unleash the Llama are proud to present the return of “JEW…ish” to London, after its smash-hit run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019 and sell out previews at the Drayton Arms, London. Written by Saul Boyer and Poppy Damon and directed by Kennedy Bloomer (Artistic Director of the Hope Theatre), the show will run at the Kings Head Theatre London, from Tuesday the 14th of January to Sunday 19th January 2020.
“We can’t stay together. You think the Gaza Strip is a burlesque act!”
TJ and Max are in love; with polyamory, substance-based escapism on the Portobello Road and the Israel-Palestine conflict. Occasionally even with one another. There’s just one thing: Max is Jewish. TJ isn’t. Watch as these mortal ‘frenemies’ navigate the cultural divide – amid death, pegging, and two millennia of inherited trauma.
JEW…ish is the twisted millennial romcom that absolutely no one asked for, striking a resounding chord with audiences and posing the one question that should never be answered: is it ever ok to get back with your ex?

Unleash the Llama
A collective of theatre creatives with a diverse range of talents, who create ambitious theatre, TV and radio comedy that address emerging socio-political themes through idiosyncratically imaginative storytelling, often with a darkly comic tone and a historical bent. They are also responsible for the irreverent narrative comedy podcast: PanaMax and the sketch show TüManz 2k18 which premiered at London’s Leicester Square Theatre in January 2018.
Prior to this, both founders cut their teeth as members of the Cambridge Footlights. Unleash the Llama are developing a number of projects alongside JEW…ish, including Father Away with Gordon Kennedy of Absolutely Productions for radio. Writers Saul Boyer and Poppy Damon have won awards for their writing together (Shortlisted for The RSC/Other Prize, Papatango, Cannes Series ‘In Development’ Award).
