Brat Kids Carnival

A fun-filled party for the kids at Leicester Square Spiegeltent

Last Sunday my family and I headed to Christmas in Leicester Square to check out Brat Kids Carnival, a high energy and super fun variety show for all the family. It is a supercharged show presented by Briefs Factory.

The Brat Kid Carnival is a noise filled, fun show made especially for kids. It has acts with top-notch circus skills, flying acrobatics, edgy dancing, loud music and cheeky clowning antics. The show holds all young members of the audience in high regard, making it unique, involved and inclusive.

When we entered the Brat Kids Carnival it was already alive and fun, the emcee was getting everyone in the mood for a fun-filled 45 minutes by having the Party Panda and Cheeky Monkey running rife. We had to shout out and help find them before the party would begin, this got everyone in an excitable mood and ready for the show.

The show was highly energetic, with lots of dancing and acrobatics. Everything was colourful and fun which made every single child watching the show keep their attention. I loved how they included the audience and encouraged children (and adults) to get out of their seats to dance.

One of the things I personally liked was the fact that it was quite a short show, children can easily lose their focus and get bored. I found the 45 minute time frame to be perfect as there were no cries of boredom or moaning that they had been sitting for too long. I think more shows for children should be like the Brat Kids Carnival.

The show although great did have a few hiccups, this added to the fun of the show and also made us laugh a few times. I don’t think any of the kids picked up on them but I know the adults certainly did, the way the performers handled themselves when trouble arose was in such a professional manner and I applaud them for that.

The Brat Kids Carnival is at Leicester Square Spiegeltent until the 30th of December, grab a ticket before they leave and let the kids enjoy a great Christmas Party!
